Images created for dancers of Les Grands Ballets de Montreal and their choreographic workshop called "A Suivre" (http://www.grandsballets.com/en/performance/atelier-choregraphique/)

Creating this set of images was truly a group effort. As the shoot progressed, we figured that much better images were coming out while the dancers were moving, instead of trying to hold each pose.

I took series of images while the dancers improvised. After capturing about 30-40 images, this particular images really stood out from the computer screen making it an obvious choice.

Airtime Fitness. Environmental Portraits



During my last visit to Moncton I had the opportunity of working with one of Airtime Fitness instructors Rob Brydges.

Rob wanted to create a hand full of fun and creative images to use on his website and improve his social media presence with professionally looking content.

The idea behind red couch images is this:  Rob's suit represents his past as a real estate agent. Coach stands for "working out at home" cause that's primarily what this online training program is about.

Rob was fascinating subject to photograph, to say the least. I was really impressed with his personality  and ability to go through so many different expressions in one shoot.

How shooting tombstones made me a better portrait photographer

I was always fascinated by technical aspect of photography. For example, I could spend hours researching product photography and watching tutorials just to feed my curiosity.

Last year I was hired by Goguen Monuments to create product shots of their tombstones. It still remains my weirdest subject I ever shot.
I had to do a little research on how to photograph products which have shiny reflective surfaces such as polished black marble or granite.

Avenir Hearing Team.

 Here are some portraits I created of a team of audiologists at Avenir Hearing Clinic.  These images are part of their re-branded advertising and marketing material. 

The guys wanted to look casual, relaxed and approachable.  Just the way their patients see them.

Business Portrait Special


From October 1st until October 15th I'll be offering a special rate of $125+tax on Business Portraits (Regular price is $175).

Portraits will be taken in my downtown studio on white or grey seamless background. The rate includes 30 minutes session and one high resolution digital file with my signature retouching applied.

Additional images can be purchased for $95/file. Professional make-up artist and hair stylist can be also provided upon request for an extra $65 per application. I accept Cash, Cheques and Credit Cards.

Dr.Chiasson's Dental Clinic. Staff Portraits Update.


Since I photographed Dr.Chiasson's staff last year (see HERE), they added couple new employees and their portraits on website needed an update.  It was important to use same lighting, background and editing to match new portraits with the old ones.
 
Whenever I photograph I try to get everything right in camera to reduce my postproduction time.  It's a very good practice which requires a lot of patience.  However there are other times (like in case of this shoot) when heavy retouching is simply unavoidable.   

For example, little girl in pink dress ran across the frame to her mother (wearing blue shirt). Everyone had a great laugh and it released some of natural tension which everyone gets when put in front of a camera. It resulted in friendly and inviting portrait.

I decided to post couple of before/after images from this shoot just to show what kinds of distractions needed to be taken care of.

Decor Editorial for Perfect Wedding Magazine + Behind the scenes video.




This is by far one of the biggest productions I had the pleasure of working on in my short photographic career.    

When the creative director of Unico Decor Inc. Jason Roy invited me to team up with him to create images for the Fall-Winter issue of Perfect Wedding Magazine, I agreed right away.
The theme of our decor editorial was asian wedding. Of course, being mainly a portrait photographer, I decided to add a little fashion twist to the decor editorial by including a model.

To create these images we teamed up with really amazing wedding vendors in our area. Being part of this project was a truly fantastic experience for me. I've worked with most of the people in our creative team before, so during the photo shoot I had total peace of mind and confidence in their talent and was able to concentrate on the shooting part.

Dr. Christian J. Chiasson Dental Clinic

I was contacted by Dr. Christian Chiasson with request to update portraits on his dental clinic's website.

Christian had very clear idea about the images he wanted. During our conversations he was passionately telling me about importance of treating their clients as if they were family, creating welcoming and relaxing atmosphere, and how crucial it was to create portraits which will convey those feelings.
For me, as a photographer, it was VERY refreshing to hear that!

My goal was to create friendly and inviting expressions, showing some personality of each one of Christian's team.  

After visiting their website I chose the clinic as a location for our shoots (we had 2 shoots in total). Orange wall of the clinic's reception seemed interesting and very un-traditional background colour to me, which only added to the uniqueness of the portraits. Later in postproduction I added more warmth to the images for better blending with the website's colour theme.

 Got to say - I was charmed by Christian's female team, the ladies seemed to enjoy this experience and totally rocked the photo shoots.

Invest in your image.

It's always a great time to update your website, business card, Facebook and LinkedIn profiles. 
Time to delete that old photo taken with point'n'shoot camera and hire a professional photographer to do it for you.

Ok, you may be saving $100-200 by asking a friend to do it for you, or even worse - by doing it yourself. But poor quality image of you or your employee will cause much more damage than what you save. 
How do you expect people to pick up the phone and call your business if you didn't even bother to look good for them and at the meantime expecting them to pay top dollar for your product and service?  Seriously. 

Your image is such a small, yet such an important detail, which simply states that you care!   

Show your clients how much they mean to your business! 
Show them you value true quality! 
Single portrait can tell everything people need to know about you and your business. Invest in it!
